So what is a Cool Community? These are communities (towns, cities, etc.) that have made a commitment to stopping global warming and have signed the U.S. Mayor’s Climate Protection Agreement.

Maine Partners for Cool Communities help towns and cities statewide turn their commitments into actions by promoting smart energy solutions.

The Maine Chapter Sierra Club will administer the donated funds for Maine Partners for Cool Communities through the Sierra Club Foundation the 501(c)3 vehicle which accepts charitable resources to further the cause of environmental protection.
